Here are my thoughts about the "members area" of the web site, which could
be a password protected subdomain or whatever Jen thinks works best.

As far as the Delegate information, it seems to me that I get three types
of information from AKC:

1)  Info of public interest, such as upcoming offerings on AKC TV, new
title programs, photo contests, latest show at the AKC Museum of the Dog
etc.  This sort of thing should all be posted on the public facing part of
the web site (as well as on our FB page) because it's a ready supply of
fresh content that may be of interest to the public.  The same could
probably be said of most of the legislative alerts, which we now  receive
from AKC.

2)  Info of  club and board interest such as handouts from AKC Club
Development, the AKC Secretary's pages, AKC financial reports, etc. which
should be available to all club members but aren't necessarily appropriate
for or interesting to the general public.

3) Issues/action items.  I'm thinking specifically here of issues coming up
for a vote at a future Delegate's Meeting, where I need input from the
membership on how to vote.  I would post an item along with any supporting
background materials, we then need to be able to discuss it in a
comments format (not in real time), and preferably then take a poll.

I can visualize other ways we could use such a page/format.  For example if
we had a controversial club issue coming up, we could post background
information and get people's comments and insights so that everyone
goes into the club meeting better informed.  I don't know that we need to
separate "delegate issues" from other types of issues we might like to
include in such a section, having a single "issues" section seems fine to
me, but I don't have a strong opinion either way.

We should also have a place to post minutes and financial reports for later
reference.  This could be in the same "library" where we would post
background material for issues
