[GMDC_Tech] Zooming into tech

I attached a copy of the bylaws in one of the emails I sent earlier. I have attached it again here.
Our bylaws do not include the mention of mixed breed dogs except for 'humane welfare of all animals"
Our object is: "to further the advancement of all breeds of pure-bred dogs.                        "to urge members to accept the standards as approved by AKC"                        "to do all in it's power to protect and advance the interests of pure-bred dogs"
While several years ago, we thought that perhaps reaching out to people who owned mixed breed dogs would result in hopefully bringing them into the world of pure-bred dogs, it never seemed to pan out that way. We are an AKC Member club. I feel we need to remember that.

We will begin this week.  As previously noted / discussed our tech platform (Site, eMails, Social etc) is essentially our public face.  This is especially true because we have no fixed physical location.  As previously discussed, our first order of business is to positively identify who we are so that we can begin to discuss how we wish to represent.  Our agenda for this first Zoom, therefore is pretty simple:

1.)  Clarify who we are
     We should review our mission statement in our incorporation documents and also our bylaws 
     ** Does anyone have a copy of these to distribute? **    What our membership app reads (probably close) is:
  "a non-profit club of interested dog fanciers dedicated to furthering the advancement of pure-breddogs through AKC sanctioned, matched, licensed shows, obedience trials, and participation inperformance events that include mixed-breed dogs. The GMDC also participates in public educationactivities and fundraising to encourage and promote responsible dog ownership in the interest of thehumane welfare of all animals"
2.) Clarify what we do - 
     Point show, meetings, programs, education etc....  This is somewhat contained in the app copy quote above

3.) Describe why someone would want to be a member of GMDC

4.) Begin the discussion about what we maybe DON'T do that we should, ie, monthly newsletters, member participation, etc.

5.)  Also, *perhaps*, begin the discussion of how we want to represent GMDC (Visually, interaction capability, etc)  THis is just to begin the main topic for next month.
